]]> NEW AND IMPROVED: (*)Inert, low amp, high temperature (5,400F) initiator designed to be used with a remote firing system for the purpose of igniting the GTR-18A Smokey Sam decoy rocket used to simulate a surface to air missile launch during military flight training exercises. Lead wires are 46 inches long and made from 22 awg solid copper duplex PVC insulated firing wire with a low amp 40 awg #60 soldered element wire that measures 2.0 ohms (+/- 0.5 of an ohm) of resistance @ 70F. Comes with pre-stripped connection end. The large kraft paper plug firmly holds the initiator in place by slightly wedging it up into the nozzle end of the propellant grain.

Recommended minimum firing current is 2.3 amps @ 6 VDC applied for at least 100 milliseconds.  All-Fire current is 2.0 amps or above, No-Fire current is 1.0 amp or below.

NOTE:  All military initiator wires offered on this website are tested for proper resistance during the manufacturing process using a calibrated Fluke 289 Multi-meter set on the 50 ohm scale.

(*)Must also purchase the CF-KIT initiator composition in order to make this product into a finished usable initiator.
