This discontinued low amp high thermal outputting (5,400F) e-match kit was manufactured in 2013. Once mixed it contains 40 grams of pyrogen.

This product contains and uses MEK. (Methyl Ethyl Ketones) All needed tools and mixing instructions come with this kit.

If used with our HTCF-12 wires the ALL FIRE rating is: 1.5 amps @ 6 volts DC for 100ms.

Once mixed it makes 20 grams of a low amp high thermal outputting (5,400F) pyrogen for making your own e-matches. For best results use our low amp HTCF wire products with this kit.

The HTCF-12 e-match is made from 24 AWG solid copper, 12 inch long lead wires, insulated with yellow PVC, contains a soldered low amp element wire and comes pre-stripped for your convenience. (12 pieces per bag.) Just pull off the partially stripped insulation and make the connection to your firing system. Designed to be used with our CF-KIT pyrogen.

E-match Requirements and Specifications:

MINIMUM FIRING DURATION: 100ms

ALL FIRE: >2.0 amps

NO FIRE: <1.0 amp

RESISTANCE: 1.0 ohm (+ or – 0.2 ohms)

BURN TIME DURATION: 0.5 seconds

NEW AND IMPROVED: (*)Inert, low amp, high temperature (5,400F) igniter designed to be used with a remote firing system for the purpose of igniting the GTR-18A Smokey Sam decoy rocket used to simulate a surface to air missile launch during military flight training exercises. Lead wires are 46 inches long and made from 22 awg solid copper duplex PVC insulated firing wire with a low amp 40 awg #60 soldered element wire that measures 2.0 ohms (+/- 0.5 of an ohm) of resistance @ 70F. Comes with pre-stripped connection end. The large kraft paper plug firmly holds the igniter in place by slightly wedging it up into the nozzle end of the propellant grain.

Recommended minimum firing current is 2.3 amps @ 6 VDC applied for at least 100 milliseconds. All-Fire current is 2.0 amps or above, No-Fire current is 1.0 amp or below.

NOTE: All military igniter wires offered on this website are tested for proper resistance during the manufacturing process using a calibrated Fluke 289 Multi-meter set on the 50 ohm scale.

(*)Must also purchase the CF-KIT pyrogen in order to make this product into a finished usable igniter.

40 grams of our highest thermal energy releasing (5,400F), longest burning, pre-measured, two part pyrogen, plus acetone, mixing equipment and instructions. This pyrogen can only be used with our ML series igniter wires. The All-Fire rating for the ML-KIT pyrogen is 5 amps @ 12 VDC. (This product does not contain any lead, mercury, sulfur, sulfides or phosphorus.)

(ML Igniter wires are not included with this kit and must be purchased separately) We cannot ship Pyrogen kits outside the US!
